GROUP PROGRAMS
Our social skills development programs support children aged 4–12 through safe, supportive group experiences led by qualified, registered clinicians. Programs provide opportunities for children to practise social interaction, build confidence, and strengthen friendships in an inclusive, neuroaffirming environment.
FIND A GROUP THAT FITS:
-
BUILD | CONNECT | PLAY
Build together. Connect with others. Grow through play.
A hands-on group experience where children build, create, and work together while developing social communication, cooperation, emotional regulation, problem-solving, flexibility, and confidence.
Through structured challenges and shared activities, children take on different roles, practise working as a team, and learn how to communicate, negotiate, adapt, and celebrate each other's ideas.

MINECRAFT: BUILD & BELONG
A shared interest can be the beginning of connection.
Using Minecraft-inspired activities as a fun and familiar starting point, children work together to practise communication, cooperation, problem-solving, peer interaction, and emotional regulation.
With iPads provided by DCT, children can participate through shared challenges, creative activities, and teamwork in a supportive environment where they can connect with other children who enjoy Minecraft too.

NDIS & Private Participants Welcome
Our group programs run across the school holidays, with Build | Connect | Play and Minecraft: Build & Belong alternating each holiday period. Each program runs over four days, with all materials and equipment supplied by DCT. Group sizes and enrolments are intentionally capped to create a supportive, comfortable environment where every child has opportunities to participate, connect, and be supported by our clinicians.

Our approach to social skills development programs:
Our clinicians take a warm, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach, creating a supportive environment where children can participate, practise, and connect at their own pace.
We recognise that social situations can feel different for every child. Programs are designed to provide opportunities to practise social skills in meaningful ways, while respecting each child's communication style, strengths, preferences, and individual needs.
Our approach is grounded in connection, encouragement, and respect, helping children build confidence while developing skills they can use in everyday relationships and social situations.
Our support is tailored to you.
Social skills development programs give children the opportunity to learn and practise alongside their peers through teamwork, conversation, games, problem solving, and shared activities. They can be particularly helpful for children who find social situations challenging, experience difficulties with friendships or group activities, or would benefit from additional support to build confidence and social skills.
A THOUGHTFUL AND COLLABORATIVE APPROACH
As part of a multidisciplinary team, our clinicians can work alongside parents, caregivers, schools, support coordinators, allied health professionals, and other members of a child's support network where appropriate.
This helps ensure support remains connected, coordinated, and responsive, while keeping each child's needs, strengths, and goals at the centre.
