Frequently Asked Questions

It’s normal to have questions when you’re looking for support. We’ve answered some of the most common ones below.

GETTING STARTED

  • You can contact us via phone, email, or by referral form. Our team will guide you through the next steps.

  • You don’t need a referral to enquire about our services. A GP referral is required for Psychology services, and we also accept self, professional and NDIS referrals. Our referral forms can be found here.

  • We’ll connect with you, learn a little about your needs, and help guide you toward the right support.

  • Therapy may be helpful if things feel overwhelming, stuck, or difficult to manage on your own. This might include emotional challenges, behavioural concerns, anxiety, stress, or changes in relationships or daily functioning. You don’t need a clear “reason” to reach out. Support can begin wherever things feel hard.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SUPPORT

  • That’s completely okay. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can work through what’s going on together and help guide you toward the most appropriate support.

  • Our team will support you in finding the most suitable therapist for your needs.

  • We work with children, teens, and adults experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural, and cognitive challenges. Support is tailored to each person, with a focus on understanding their individual experiences, strengths, and goals, and providing care that feels appropriate for where they are at.

  • We offer a range of therapeutic supports tailored to individual needs.

  • The first session is a gentle starting point where we get to know you and what has been happening. We’ll talk through your concerns, what support might be helpful, and explore next steps at a pace that feels comfortable.

  • All sessions are tailored to the individual and their needs. They provide a safe, supportive space to explore goals, experiences, and challenges at a pace that feels comfortable.

  • Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate therapeutic approach that uses play to help children express emotions and make sense of their experiences in a way that feels natural to them. It supports emotional regulation, confidence, communication, and helps children process what they are going through in a safe and supportive environment.
