PLAY THERAPY
Our play therapy services support children aged 2–12 through ongoing therapy with qualified, registered clinicians. Play provides a safe, developmentally appropriate way for children to explore feelings, experiences, relationships, and challenges without pressure to talk, perform, or “get it right.”
HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOU:
-
What play therapy can support:
Play therapy can provide support for children who are experiencing big feelings, navigating change, or finding it difficult to express what they are going through. Through play, children can explore their experiences, develop emotional regulation skills, build confidence, and strengthen their ability to cope with everyday challenges.

Our approach to play therapy:
Our play therapists take a warm, child-centred, and developmentally appropriate approach, recognising that every child communicates, connects, and experiences the world differently.
We create a supportive environment where children can play, explore, create, imagine, and express themselves at their own pace. Rather than expecting children to explain everything with words, our clinicians use play as a natural way to connect with children and understand what they may be communicating through their play.
Our approach is grounded in genuine connection, curiosity, and respect. We follow the child's lead while providing the safety, structure, and therapeutic support they need to explore emotions, build confidence, and develop new ways of coping.
Our support is tailored to you.
Play therapy is tailored to each child's experiences, strengths, needs, and ways of communicating, with sessions adapting to how they naturally play, connect, and express themselves. For some children, play therapy may be the primary support they need, while for others it may form part of a broader plan alongside other services. It is not about doing more therapy. It is about finding the right support, at the right time, for the child in front of us.
A THOUGHTFUL AND COLLABORATIVE APPROACH
As part of a multidisciplinary team, our play therapists work alongside parents, caregivers, schools, support coordinators, allied health professionals, and other members of a child's support network where appropriate.
This helps ensure support remains connected, coordinated, and responsive over time, while keeping the child's needs, goals, and wellbeing at the centre of care.
We also value the knowledge parents, caregivers, and professionals bring to the process. Working together can help create greater consistency and understanding around the child, both within therapy and in the environments where they live, learn, and connect.
