Kimberley Moore
Mental Health Clinician | Child and Family Counsellor | Therapeutic Play Practitioner
Kimberley Moore is a gentle, present, and compassionate counsellor who believes that we’re all doing the best we can, even when it doesn’t feel that way.
She brings a deep respect for each person’s unique story and understands that healing happens when we feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. Kimberley creates a space where clients of all ages can show up as they are and explore their experiences with curiosity and care.
With a background in education, Kimberley spent over a decade working with children and families as a primary school teacher in various locations across Australia. During her time teaching Prep, she witnessed the power of play as a natural language for children to learn, connect, and express themselves. This insight led her to pursue further study, completing a Master of Counselling and specialised training in Play Therapy. Through this, she deepened her understanding of therapeutic work with both adults and children, using developmentally and age-appropriate approaches.
In her counselling practice, Kimberley draws on a range of approaches that support the whole child and family. These include person-centred, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming practices, along with an understanding of how brain development and the nervous system influence wellbeing. She believes that each person already holds within themselves the capacity for healing, growth, and connection. Her role is to gently guide and support them in reconnecting with that part of themselves. Whether working with children, adolescents, parents, or families, Kimberley tailors her approach to each client by honouring their inner wisdom and helping them build a stronger sense of safety and reconnect with their sense of self.
